Introduction

The Placement and Career Counselling Committee (PCCC) plays a vital role in preparing students for successful professional careers by integrating academic knowledge with practical skills, industry expectations, and career opportunities. The committee focuses on creating a student-centric ecosystem that promotes career awareness, skill enrichment, experiential learning, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning as envisioned in NEP 2020.

The committee acts as a facilitator between students, industries, professional organizations, and higher education institutions to enhance employability, confidence, and career readiness among learners.

Aim

"To empower students with the knowledge, skills, confidence, and professional competencies required to achieve successful career growth through continuous counselling, skill enhancement, industry engagement, and placement support."

Objectives

The Placement and Career Counselling Committee aims to:

  1. Provide structured career guidance to help students make informed decisions regarding employment, higher education, research, and entrepreneurship.
  2. Develop industry-relevant skills through competency-based training and experiential learning activities.
  3. Enhance students’ professional abilities through communication development, personality enrichment, leadership training, and workplace readiness programmes.
  4. Create strong industry–academia collaboration through expert interactions, internships, industrial exposure, and recruitment initiatives.
  5. Facilitate campus recruitment opportunities by preparing students for aptitude assessments, technical evaluations, group discussions, and interviews.
  6. Encourage innovation, entrepreneurship, and self-employment opportunities among students.
  7. Promote awareness about competitive examinations, professional certifications, and emerging career domains.
  8. Support students in developing a growth-oriented mindset and adapting to changing professional environments.

The effective functioning of the committee will enable students to:
