Career Katta / Counselling / Placement / Internship / OJT Committee (As per NEP
2020)
In accordance with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Career Katta
/ Counselling / Placement / Internship / On-the-Job Training (OJT) Committee is
established to promote holistic student development, employability, and industry
readiness. The committee facilitates career guidance, academic counselling, internships,
apprenticeships, skill enhancement programmes, entrepreneurship awareness, and placement
opportunities. It encourages experiential learning through industry interaction,
field visits, project-based learning, and OJT, enabling students to acquire practical
knowledge and professional competencies. The committee collaborates with industry
partners, alumni, employers, government agencies, and all academic departments to
organize career counselling sessions, campus recruitment drives, resume-building
workshops, aptitude training, soft-skills development, and competitive examination
guidance. It also supports students in securing internships and employment aligned
with their academic disciplines and career aspirations. By implementing NEP 2020
recommendations on multidisciplinary education, vocational exposure, skill development,
and industry–academia collaboration, the committee strives to enhance students'
employability, foster lifelong learning, and prepare graduates to become competent,
ethical, innovative, and socially responsible professionals.
